Job Description

A dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s benefits and compensation programs, while managing a small but effective team of benefit professionals. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and implementing programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

 

Currently, this role is predominantly focused on benefits, with the compensation aspect expected to expand over time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation, communication, and administration of employee benefit programs, including self-insured and fully insured health plans, LOA policies, retirement plans, and global mobility.
  • Develop and deliver effective communication materials on compensation and benefits to Property HR Teams.
  • Provide training on benefits options and resources to HR teams across the organization.
  • Coordinate open enrollment, communicate changes, and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.
  • Manage audits for all employee benefit plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation strategies.
  • Analyze salary survey data and industry trends to set salary structures and pay grades.
  • Support the annual compensation review process.
  • Mentor and coach two team members to boost performance.
  • Identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving initiatives in compensation and benefits data.
  • Prepare regular reports and ad-hoc analyses for HR and business leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and best market practices in compensation and benefits.
  • Organize wellness events, including health fairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; preference for candidates with certifications like Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management supporting HR teams.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with RFP processes and vendor implementation.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Payfactors experience is a plus.
