Job Description

The Senior Director, Revenue Management oversees all aspects of revenue management including the execution of hotel commercial strategies as well as the development of best in class processes, tools and insights designed to optimize market share and profit on behalf of the brand. This role should be seen as the primary leader of revenue management for Omni Hotels & Resorts.

This position is based in Dallas, TX at the Omni Corporate Office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive, inspiring leadership to our entire team of revenue managers including mentoring and departmental succession planning to ensure talent development for the RM discipline
  • Aspire to attract, develop, and retain top RM talent
  • Drive operational excellence for the RM discipline through best-in-class standards and processes
  • Responsible for the thoughtful and disciplined execution of RM strategies and tactics that support market share growth.
  • Represent the RM discipline within the Commercial team when developing and executing brand wide promotions and marketing campaigns. This includes digital marketing and brand.com merchandising of offers and rate products.
  • Ensure effective forecasting tools and processes are leveraged to drive accuracy
  • Ensure effective processes are leveraged through weekly revenue meetings and group cut-off meetings to ensure mix management, inventory management and business evaluations are deliberate and maximize optimal profit for each hotel
  • Optimize RevPAR and TRevPAR by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, optimal and seasonal market mix across group, transient, and wholesale segments.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor price/product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning/product offering for centralized hotels.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management Strategy team on pricing decisions for transient, group and wholesale segments.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Team to improve tools, processes and systems for RM discipline
  • Collaborate with the Distribution team to ensure maximum share from electronic distribution channels and OTAs
  • Update and maintain all revenue management tools.
  • Collaborate with Ancillary RM leadership to improve tools, processes and support for strategic efforts to drive TrevPAR across the brand
  • Understand, support, and implement brand’s overall transient and group pricing strategy.
  • Partner effectively across disciplines creating teamwork, taking charge, generating enthusiasm, motivating and using an uplifting and lead-by-example leadership approach consistent with Omni’s culture.
  • Provide pre-opening support to ensure effective pricing and brand RM strategies are in place prior to hotel opening
  • Serve as a change agent and play a key leadership role in implementing and sustaining new and enhanced key RM initiatives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business/management or finance
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in hospitality revenue field required, with career progression into senior management position.
  • Minimum seven years’ experience required in Revenue Management leadership role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations to high-level business leaders.
  • Travel required.
