Job Description

Responsible for management of daily fixed asset accounting tasks, processes, and reporting.  This position is responsible for developing, interpreting, and applying the Company’s fixed asset policies and providing related support to the Company’s tax functions.

This position is based in Dallas, TX at the Omni Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, implement, and manage fixed asset policies and guidance
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Reconcile fixed asset subledger detail to general ledger monthly
  • Perform month-end close procedures
  • Primary point of contact for fixed asset related analysis and inquiries
  • Responsible for accounting for acquired assets and asset dispositions
  • Prepare audit schedules as required
  • Related special projects

Qualifications

  • A four-year degree, accounting/finance preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Understands accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, general ledger, sub-ledger, Accrual, etc.)
  • Possess working knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle preferred
  • Must be deadline oriented, self-starter and able to work in a thriving fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving skillset
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong overall PC proficiency
  • Ability to work independently, with some oversight, and in team environment
  • Must have good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude
  • Ability to think critically & analytically and make sound decisions to effectively drive important project issues to effective resolution
