Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager assists in leading the overall Front Office team with the direction of the Director of Front Office. Help schedule hourly assoicates, review inventory, assist with Guest Services and other responsibilities that are given by the Director of Front Office.

Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Train, cross-train and retrain all Front Office staff according to Omni brand standards.
  • Knowledge of all Front Office standard operating procedures.
  • Counsel and coach all subordinate employees when necessary.
  • Maintain good working relationships and establish communication with all departments.
  • Maintain continuous contact with hotel guests to ensure that any challenges are resolved quickly, efficiently and courteously.
  • Uphold the hotel's commitment to gracious hospitality and follow through on Four Key Service programs.
  • Run, trace reports & special service request reports to ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
  • Prepare weekly work schedules within budget.
  • Check for accurate credit limits and in house guest rates for accuracy.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of all Front Office positions.
  • Ensure that all ledger work is neat and accurate and that all clerks are balanced at the end of the shift.
  • Assist guests requesting to speak with a Manager.
  • Assist in staff meetings of Front Desk personnel.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by management.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and track call outs.
  • Interdepartmental liaison between all departments and VIPs/Select Guests/Villa owners.
  • Oversee and coordinate all arrivals and departures of special guests (VIPs, SAs etc)
  • In charge of responding to guest surveys/reviews and data analysis, identify trends and share this information during our Weekly Operations meeting.
  • In charge of doing daily Follow-ups with guest listed on the MOD report.
  • Respond and resolve all ELMER’s tickets in timely manner

This is a brief description of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years front office and supervisory experience in a resort or full service hotel required.
  • Union experience prefered but not required.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends, holidays and overnight.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.

Salary: $66,560k 

The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
