Job Description

Ensure proper training and supervision of all personnel, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures. This position will also be supporting all Food & Beverage Outlets within the operation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management for the following outlets: Kitchen Notes, Barlines, In-Room Dining, Bongo
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned shift.
  • Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager’s job description.
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room and service areas.
  • Spot check liquor pars.
  • Requisition daily supplies.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed using Birchstreet.
  • Hold pre and post shift meetings.
  • Follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours completing office work after service.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
  • Observe, teach and correct staff’s service.
  • Monitor each guest experience.
  • Hold team members accountable for meeting service standards, adhering to policies, and maintaining uniform and grooming standards.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Maintain condition of dining room, lobby lounge, bar, service areas, and room service.
  • Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and transfers.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.

Qualifications

  • 1-year management experience in food and beverage restaurant operation, preferably in a hotel and/or fine dining restaurant, or completion of the Omni Food and Beverage LID Program. 
  • Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff. 
  • Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests
  • Able to set priorities for the Kitchen Notes team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing a high volume of orders and guest requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager.
  • Ability to obtain an unexpired TABC permit.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. 
  • Requires repetitive motion arms, hands, and legs.
