Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will work closely with the Director of Front Office and Front Office Leaders to oversee  all operations relating to the Front Office and Guest Services, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and associate development.

 

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $65,000/year. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Responsibilities

  • To ensure Four Diamond standards and consistent levels of guest satisfaction are met and exceeded
  • Ensure the front desk duties and daily checklists are complete including and not limited to check in, check out, credit limit checks, telephone duties, guest service luggage assistance and service, and driver service.
  • Continued training and coaching through Moment of Service and monthly meetings
  • Communicate with all departments on continuing basis including completing the PM Manager on Duty report
  • Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints.
  • Be familiar with the hotel computer system for training, maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Block/assign applicable arrivals for the following day; i.e. V.I.P.'s, Select Guests, ESP's, Special Requests, etc.
  • Complete financial duties including daily hotel ledger, credit card limit report, cancellation/deposit reports, and ensuring all guests have appropriate payments
  • Adhere to all Systems & Controls of the Front Office and appropriate areas of responsibilities.
  • Assist with departmental scheduling and monitoring payroll productivity.
  • Directly oversee all aspects of Front Office, Guest Services and the PBX department.
  • Attend meetings as assigned by the Director of Front Office
  • Ensure safety and security of hotel through daily hotel walk
  • Ensure cleanliness levels are maintained within front drive, hotel lobby, and all public areas. Communicate to Housekeeping leadership any shortcomings.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years directly related experience (Hotel-Front Desk) in a managerial role.
  • Must be able to work approximately 40-50 hours per week, flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
  • 4 Diamond Presentation and Customer Service Oriented
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Follow all company policies, procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
  • Excellent customer service, anticipation of guest needs and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must have strong communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Move, push, and pull objects weighing up to 200 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Ability to bend in order to lift heavy items.
