Job Description

 

The SSC Director of Finance is a pivotal leader, responsible for overseeing the BPO relationship and centrally managing the balance sheets for hotels within the portfolio. The SSC Director of Finance, must be focused on delivering quality customer service in a consistent manner, while striving for continuous improvement and providing reliable information that allows customers and stakeholders to confidently focus on their primary objectives. This role requires a unique blend of strategic financial leadership, strong vendor management, and a deep understanding of hospitality operations. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, ensure financial accuracy, and optimize Omni’s shared services model to support its continued growth.

 

Reporting to the Vice President, Shared Services Center, the successful candidate will drive value by ensuring all SSC finance functions and services are performed effectively, in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA), internal policies and with effective internal controls. 

 

This position is based in Dallas, Texas and on-site at the Omni Corporate Office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction within the shared services model.
  • Lead the centralized management and oversight of balance sheets for hotels, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, and USALI, as applicable).Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis related to balance sheet trends, working capital, and asset management.
  • Oversee the day-to-day work of the outsource partner and analyze/solution problems with the partner as needed.
  • Manage 1-4 direct reports.
  • Monitor and analyze appropriate SLAs and KPIs to support collaborative service quality acceptance.
  • Publish KPI metrics and detailed analytics to properties and other stakeholders to provide performance insight.
  • Develop a strong focus on continuous improvement, efficiencies and effectiveness monitoring with a keen eye on cost reduction with no quality erosion.
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities to accomplish process and cost improvement objectives.
  • Meet with properties periodically to understand concerns and issues related to the various outsourced towers.
  • Develop a strong service culture, providing measurable quality of service via formal survey’s to properties.
  • Perform regular analysis to ensure efficient processing.
  • Support SSC initiatives to ensure successful development and implementation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the hotels.
  • Interface with different departments such as Corporate Accounting, IT, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, & Risk Management.
  • Train hotel level staff on best practices and processes.
  • Interact with the hotels to solve business issues.
  • Integrate and streamline systems related to SSC processes.
  • Maintain controls and narratives for areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Experience using Oracle (PMS, POS, GL) OneStream and Birch Street a plus
  • CPA a plus
  • 5 + years’ experience in hospitality
  • 5 + years’ experience managing Shared Service Center functions, balance sheets, accounts payable and accounting functions within a shared services model
  • Proven expiernce managing a third -party BPO
  • Successful track record of delivering finance shared services in a complex organization
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of issue resolution and process improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management, with excellent communication skills
  • Established people manager with demonstrable coaching and leadership qualities, able to grow and develop a team and influence effectively
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Systemic problem solving
  • Previous experience using AI or other advanced technologies to improve processes is a plus
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
