Job Description

The Analyst, Center of Excellence (CoE) is a versatile and resourceful team member who will work across multiple finance disciplines, including Financial Reporting & Analysis, Financial Systems, and Organizational Excellence. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to gain broad exposure to finance operations. 

 

As a “utility player” within the CoE, you will support reporting cycles, maintain and enhance financial systems, assist in labor productivity analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.  

 

This role will be based in Dallas, TX at the Omni Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office and may require up to 25% travel to properties.  

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis 

 

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders and leadership. 
  • Support variance analysis by investigating differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, providing clear explanations and supporting data. 
  • Maintain financial reporting templates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate standards. 
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and data requests to support operational decision-making. 

 

Financial Systems 

 

  • Serve as a key user and administrator for finance systems, with a focus on OneStream and related reporting tools. 
  • Support data validations and report enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues and escalate or resolve them in collaboration with stakeholders 
  • Document system processes, updates, and best practices to ensure repeatability and training support. 

 

Labor Management 

 

  • Assist with labor productivity reporting and analysis using OnTrack Labor Management Systems and other tools. 
  • Support operations in understanding labor performance metrics and identifying efficiency opportunities. 
  • Maintain and monitor labor data integrity, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. 
  • Participate in the roll-out of labor management initiatives and training sessions. 

 

Cross-Functional Support & Development 

 

  • Collaborate closely with other CoE team members, finance leaders, and operational stakeholders to gather insights and improve processes. 
  • Contribute to special projects spanning multiple finance functions, including process improvement, automation initiatives, forecast modelling, and system integrations. 
  • Gain hands-on exposure to multiple finance domains, building a broad base of technical and business knowledge. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or systems administration (internships and co-op experience considered). 
  • Previous experience with OneStream and/or OnTrack Labor Management Systems is considered a strong asset. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

 

  • The ability to sit and utilize a computer for an extended period.  

 

Working Environment: 

 

  • Corporate office setting. 
  • In-office, full-time position based in Dallas, TX. 
  • Potential for 25% travel for property visits, operational reviews, and project implementations.
