Job Description

This role will be responsible for assisting with and supervising all aspects of Omni Service Center (OSC) Human Resources to include culture, communication, training, associate relations and associate engagement as well as liability prevention and legal compliance. 

This position is based in Dallas, TX. This is an in-office position at Omni Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel to the OSC associates in all areas of Omni policy, culture and leadership  
  • Implement training and development programs successfully. Recommend new programs based on need. 
  • Conduct investigations and assist in making employment status decisions  
  • Respond to employment litigation from Federal and State offices  
  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues  
  • Ensures all Omni Benefits programs are communicated and partnership is built with the benefits service manager  
  • Ensure on-boarding of new associates is implemented according to Omni standards  
  • Ensure employee terminations are implemented according to Omni standards  
  • Maintain legal compliance at all times. Ensure ASC team is up-to-date with evolving legislation.  
  • Maintain all ASC Standard Operating Procedures  
  • Ensure Associate Services meets the standards as evaluated by Audit Services  
  • Implement the associate feedback programs for the OSC. Implement the Associate Engagement survey and assist in creating substantial action plans that move the OSC forward. 
  • Ensure OSC complies with all training required by law 
  • Ensure the associate files are maintained in a neat and organized manner  
  • Assist OSC HRD with planning and executing exciting, fun and interesting associate events quarterly and for holidays  
  • Implement and promote Omni’s recognition programs. Ensure Omni Service Champion is celebrated quarterly at OSC. 
  • Consistently works to support Omni culture by being an ambassador of Omni Culture and promoting it enthusiastically  
  • Work to resolve concerns for OSC associates 
  • Develop a consistent and lively associate communications network within OSC, via bulletin boards, department communication boards, posters and flyers  
  • Responsible for clear and accurate documentation of all associate issues, on a timely basis following counseling and disciplinary procedures  
  • Work with OSC HRD to ensure associate relations expenses are in line with monthly budget  
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews as needed and ensure paycheck distribution is complete 
  • Responsible for routing employee file changes as needed through UKG/Dayforce 
  • Schedule and conduct stay interviews with new hire associates within 90 days of employment to ensure associate engagement 
  • Create and lead monthly trainings and webinars as needed 
  • Assist OSC HRDs as needed 

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in Human Resources, leadership roles preferred 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Must have familiarity in employee relations, benefits, training, safety, liability avoidance and compliance  
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to complete assignments timely 
  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, counsel, advise, influence, mentor and motivate associates and managers at all levels 
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity
