Job Description

The Golf Retail Assistant Buyer will provide administrative, operational and Analytical support to the Omni Golf Buying Team. This key position is critical to ensure accuracy, organization and smooth execution of the buying process.

 

This position is based in Dallas, TX in office at the Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

  • Create and Maintain purchase orders. Ensure accuracy of styles, quantities, cost and delivery dates.
  • Track order status, follow up with vendors, and communicate delays or issues.
  • Maintain item set up and data integrity in buying and inventory systems.
  • Coordinate market schedules, vendor meeting and internal calendars.
  • Process invoices and credit in partnership with accounting.
  • Oversee maintenance and accuracy of all receiving logs.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Review and approve all proofs, logos and related materials
  • Supports sales reporting, data entry and basic analysis as directed
  • Provide general administrative support to Buyer and Associate Buyer as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or related field preferred
  • At least one year of Brand/Retail experience preferred
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop/maintain good communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Possesses an understanding of the target customer, supplier base and competitors
  • Able to work in fast paced environment, multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Financial Reporting including retail math with product planning, sales margins, and inventory turn calculations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, strong Excel experience a plus
