Job Description

To oversee (review and audit)  Accounts Payable, General Cashier , Income Audit, & Payroll, close the daily set of books at month end, reconcile daily taxes and support and be able to fill in for ADOF (ie., B/S reconciliations and the closing process). Ensure all financial transactions for the day are verified and balanced.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Income Accounts Payable, General Cashier, Income Audit and Payroll Process.
  • Transmit daily credit card transactions on a daily basis.
  • Back-up the ADOF in managing the charge back procedure to help resolve the notifications received for the credit card companies.
  • Ensure an effective tracking system for all rebates/adjustments.
  • Ensures tax variances are identified and reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Verifies gratuities paid to outlet and banquet servers ties to the General Ledger.
  • Reconciles audio visual invoice to daily postings.
  • Assist and support the Asst. Director of Finance in Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist and support the Asst. Director of Finance in Month End Reporting.
  • Assist the DOF/ADOF with other functions requiring attention.
  • Attend meetings as required (ie. Morning Standup, Leadership, etc.)
  • Resolve problems with other departments/managers by going to their department and discuss one on one and attend their stand-ups to train.
  • Coordinate and spot check retail inventory with Retail Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in Accounting in hotel setting
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting including preparing, reading, interpreting and analyzing financial statements
  • Strong excel skills required
  • Good verbal/written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills      
  • Must have a sense of urgency and a willingness to complete everything as outline in job description
