Job Description

To strategically coordinate the revenue management processes and procedures for Resorts to maximize Total RevPAR for the brand for all revenue streams including rooms; activities and food & beverage.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Resort DORMs to provide leadership, training and tools to assist them in their roles
  • Work internally with IT to develop reports, resources and measurement tools to monitor process; create accountability and drive results.
  • Work with Finance to evolve the performance reporting library to enhance visibility to the effectiveness of strategy and results.
  • Work internally with marketing to ensure our strategies meet the business needs of each resort according to demand times and compression
  • Provide new hire and ongoing training for Resort DORMs both in Dallas and in person
  • Work closely with Reservation Sales Leadership to ensure strategies and maximized during the voice call process
  • Work closely with Operations Leadership to ensure our strategies and yield management recommendations are timely, effective and executed within the business needs and parameters of each resort
  • Provide training and collaborate with Resort Operations to balance our strategies with their feedback and input. Create alignment and buy- in.
  • Work with the hotels to ensure Omni is represented on the proper distribution channels for golf and that our partnerships are favorable and profitable
  • Ensure we are maximizing our mix of business through available distribution channels not only for rooms, but also Golf
  • Work closely with the Corporate Director of Revenue Applications to ensure GuestREV and GroupREV meet the complex needs of Resorts and assist with input and development requirements
  • Identify group booking trends and need periods for each Resort’s five-year window and work with the Area/Regional Directors of Sales to drive group strategies and recommendations
  • Review each Resort’s annual transient pricing/segmentation and provide recommendations regarding mix and pricing
  • Review ancillary spending trends by group and transient segments and provide visibility to segmentation behavior
  • Review all monthly forecasts for each Resort to identify share risk and topline revenue risk or opportunity
  • Provide Executive Overviews on Resort Performance to senior leadership as needed.
  • Present Quarterly updates on performance results and near term strategyas needed
  • Champion various reservation applications (Resort Suite) for Spa, Golf, Activities, etc.
  • Oversee and champion brand initiatives to drive incremental revenue such as MyUpgrade and Dynamic Packaging
  • Oversee and champion Experience Planner program for the brand
  • Represent the revenue discipline priorities in key projects with ecommerce
  • Partner with Loyalty Team to drive ancillary revenue to this target audience

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Understanding of sales and forecasting process.
  • Excellent organization skills, manages time well, correctly prioritizes and if flexible.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage outside departments and agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum and social skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understands distribution systems
  • Understands Resort Revenue Management theory and practice.
  • Ability to perform critical analysis.
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Full understanding of each hotel product and the market conditions.
