Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing proactive, measureable, and effective marketing tactics that help maximize revenue and increase guest interaction for the Omni Nashville. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for generating a greater awareness of the property and brand on a local and national level. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide advertising support for the purpose of generating incremental hotel revenues and local community visibility.
  • Coordinate ad placement and complete information for magazines, newspapers and any other publications as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Act as a liaison in ordering all marketing and Sales related printing projects, such as brochure materials, posters, ads, direct mail pieces, invitation, promotional items, etc. Rough drafts are to be approved by DOSM before final printing.
  • Coordinate all elements for new signage and in-room collateral (to include design, copy, photography and output).
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotions and packages including direct mail and guest packages.
  • Proof and edit all collateral before processing print requests.
  • Use MAT to create ads for event programs and local publication.
  • Work with corporate PR team as necessary or request to assist them in promoting the Omni Hotel and support hotel in PR events.
  • Maintain effective relationship with PR firm and partner to evaluate and leverage local and national opportunities to increase brand awareness.
  • Create, develop and retain relationships with local media representatives, photographers and writes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all promotional partnerships.
  • Active participation in industry, community and social organizations to increase Hotels’s community visibility and enhance involvement perception.
  • Ensure Hotel activity and associate accomplishments are brought to the attention of the corporate offices and mentioned in company publications.
  • Assist with communication management and message counseling in a a crisis situation and act as a liaison for corporate executive team.
  • Ensure that listings in directories and magazines are accurate and current.
  • Maintain current information on websites for hotel with ecommerce.
  • Evaluate advertising opportunities.
  • Coordinate hotel reservations in conjunction with trade agreements and maintain record of complimentary stays.
  • Promptly respond to all media requests, provide accurate information offer imagery and quotes when appropriate.
  • Acts as point of contact for photography shoots. Coordinate shot schedule, notify necessary departments.
  • Complete VIP welcome cards and amenity requests for all media and marketing related guests.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of all sales collateral.
  • Maintain organized, neat and properly coded filing system for all marketing, sales and PR related files.
  • Code all Marketing related invoices.
  • Track actual vs. forecasted total budget for Marketing invoices in DEW.

Qualifications

  • Candidate is required to have at least 1 year management experience in PR, Marketing, or Communications role. Participation in Omni LID program will also be considered. Candidates with at least 2 years in a similar coordinator role will also be considered.
  • Hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position. Hotel experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred preferably in PR communications or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of marketing processes, to include experience managing social media, promotions, digital and advertising.
  • Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment. 
  • Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral. 
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary. 
  • Demonstrated ability to tie strategies and planned actions to results. 
  • Developed computer proficiencies, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook. Graphic design skills preferred but not required
  • Proficient in social media technology and reporting. 
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for promotional events.
  • Stand, walk or sit for extended periods or for an entire work shift. 
  • Position requires up to 5% travel
