Job Description

Responsible for overseeing all Country Club operations while ensuring consistent levels of service to all members. Responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all Country Club personnel.      


  • Interact with all members building relationships with each member being the face of the club
  • Develop implementation strategies to meet Club goals and policies
  • Implement training and staff performance strategies that enhance the member experience
  • Assume responsibility for the entire operation
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of operational procedures of the club
  • Maintain exceptional member relations by creating quality through staffing and service levels
  • Plans, develops and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures, methods, rules and regulations in concert with general policies.
  • Develops, maintains and administers a sound organizational plan; initiates improvements as necessary.
  • Welcomes new club members; “meets and greets” all club members as practical during their visits to the club. Develops on-going dialogue and rapport with members through recognition, communication and follow-through.
  • Consistently assures that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Oversees the care and maintenance of all the club’s physical assets and facilities.
  • Ensures the highest standards for food, beverage, sports and recreation, entertainment and other club services.
  • Reviews and initiates programs to provide members with a variety of popular events.
  • Works with department heads to schedule, supervise and direct the work of all club employees; confers with them about personnel-related matters including compensation, job changes and performance evaluation.


  • A college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant work experience.  A minimum of 3 years senior executive leadership/management experience in an active, family-oriented, private, country club environment is preferred.
  • Non-club industry candidates must be able to portray their knowledge and strengths in working with well-intended and active volunteers in Board and Committee roles in a non-profit dynamic
  • Strong food and beverage background is preferred
  • Excellent financial skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate numbers and reports. Knowledgeable regarding typical club financial issues and reporting. Must be aware of critical benchmarking and financial metrics to be regularly measured against goals and objectives.
  • Exceptionally strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal, with the desire and ability to interact effectively before diverse membership.
