Job Description

The POM will have responsibility to oversee the construction and financial performance of the  General Contractor (GC) and all related subcontractors and report the project’s  progress to the RMD.


  1. Coordinate scheduling with the GC and subcontractors
  2. Routinely review the various phases of the project against the budget
  3. Report on a semi-monthly basis the status of the project (to the RMD). Identifiy potential “hot spots” as it related to the project’s overall schedule.
  4. Meet weekly with the GC
  5. Routinely review and approve material acquisition needs.
  6. Submit approved expenses to the Resort Accounting Department for payment
  7. Assist the GC in securing subcontractors
  8. Insure that the construction work is performed in compliance with the City of Carlsbad’s Ordinances related to noise and prescribed work hours.
  9. Assist GC, where necessary, with getting required permits from the City of Carlsbad.
  10. Assist GC with site inspections as required by the City of Carlsbad

This is an independent contractor position and you must be able to provide proof of Workers Comp and Liability Insurance.



Should be a licensed General Contractor with experience in construction project management.  Must have working knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry and project timeline demands.



Provide a minimum of three (project) references including  a contact name, project value and project duration to Erin Mulrooney
