Job Description

Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project coordination from start to finish. The Project Engineer responsibilities span across all aspects of the project timeline, ensuring all budgets, timelines and controls are met. While supporting both Project Manager and Project Superintendent, the role of the Project Engineer is focused on securing and maintaining all key components involved in each phase of the project timeline to ensure constant progress and forward movement in the life cycle of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent with project coordination.
  • Assisting with bidding process, bid tabulations, and contract awards.
  • Scheduling and coordination of the complete submittal and closeout processes.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractor activities in accordance with project schedule.
  • Management of all Project document control.
  • Quality control for project.
  • Creation and submission of project RFI’s.
  • Preparation of vendor and subcontractor pay applications.
  • Assure that projects are safety compliant, clean, and well organized.
  • Responsible for protecting client branding concerns.
  • Assist with project budget management from the jobsite.
  • Develop, prioritize, and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have a degree in a construction related discipline.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively and to accept out of town assignments.
  • Must have experience with multiple concurrent projects and experience leading teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation and problem solving skills required.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Project scheduling software, or software of industry equivalence.
