Job Description

Ensure proper training and supervision of all Latitudes personnel to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned shift, responsible for overall management of operation.
  • Responsible for hotel’s beverage cost, purchasing, inventory and requisition processes.
  • Follow all corporate beverage mandates and seasonal promotional programs.
  • Develop ongoing specials to drive business to beverage outlets.
  • Work closely with local purveyors to implement new products and maximize revenues and cost savings.
  • Coach, mentor and develop assistant managers and hourly service staff. 
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room. Supervise related associate assignments.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours, supervising the performance of associates.
  • Monitor each guest experience.
  • Examine food and beverage preparation and provide corrective training where necessary.
  • Supervise bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, bottles totally empty, liquor par list.
  • Supervise cost control efforts to ensure the operations financial success.
  • Participate in scheduling within budgetary guidelines.
  • Forecast weekly and monthly.
  • Completing weekly payroll and associated audit.
  • Monitor labor and payroll costs.
  • Oversee the order of daily supplies.
  • Prepare maintenance requests, follow up.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings with associates.
  • Participate in interviewing new associates.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a beverage manager is preferred.
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required.  
  • Knowledge of GA liquor laws. Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits; local knowledge preferred.
  • Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff. 
  • Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests.
  • Able to set priorities for the Latitudes team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing a high volume of orders and guest requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast paced environment.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, bend, push, pull, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.  Requires repetitive motion, including frequent bending, twisting and extending arms overhead.
