Job Description

The Resorts Activities Manager will be responsible for organizing, planning, and overseeing the execution of events, activities and programs resort-wide. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: Family activities, year round special events, theme weekends, seasonal festivals and celebrations, resort sponsored promotion and holiday activities. This position will oversee the Activities Associates while working closely with the Sales and Marketing and all Resort departments to promote and implement all events and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development of innovative programs/activities, coordinates and implements activities for special events, social programs and corporate groups. 
  • Maintains communications with all departments throughout the Resort regarding special events, working closely with Sales, banquet and Set-up departments to ensure smooth, properly scheduled events. 
  • Works closely with the Executive Team and the Marketing Department for planning, marketing and promoting all activities and special events, flyers, signage and posters. 
  • Responsible for generating Banquet Event Orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging request and all other necessary paperwork for activities and special events. 
  • Maintains files for each special event, including lectures, artists, entertainers, etc… 
  • Act as the Group Activity Coordinator with Sales and Conference Services Managers. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Related College Diploma, plus three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education preferred.
  • Resort Activities related job experience preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be attentive to detail. 
  • Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations. 
  • Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations. 
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings. 
  • Must be willing and able to work indoors and outdoors
