Job Description

To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. Ensure effective operation of the Oceanside Restaurant kitchen and pool grill. 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, monitor and train team consisting of Oceanside Sous Chef, Culinary Supervisors and line cooks. 
  • Inventory, budgeting and ordering
  • Menu Development
  • Ensure proper sanitation through kitchen and grill. Ensure walk-ins are properly maintained. 
  • Teach associates the importance of safety in the workplace. Monitor actions of associates to ensure they are being safe. 
  • Lead daily Standups, Lead Monthly Departmental Meetings. 
  • Have open communication with FOH Manager and FOH Team.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous leadership/Chef experience in a similiar resort environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, pull, bend, squat and turn without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work indoors as well as outdoors (in elements).
  • Must be comfortable handlings various chemicals and working around kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, mornings, evenings and nights.
