Job Description

  • The Marketing Manager/Graphic Designer is responsible for implementation of Omni brand standards on all internal and external marketing programs throughout the resort while assisting the Director of Marketing with year round marketing activities, and the design of hotel/resort wide visual identity standards.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the implementation of hotel/resort wide visual identity standards, maintaining the hotel/resort brand standards, and management of third party usage of Resort logos, etc. 
  • Responsible for the implementation of internal marketing programs throughout the hotel/resort to increase awareness of events, activities, employee communications and daily operations 
  • Responsible for designing print graphics for events, activities, signage, and in-house collateral pieces including needs of lodging properties, menus, group invitations, in-room directories, etc. 
  • Work closely with the Online Marketing Manager, Revenue Manager & DOSM to ensure all Omni programs and systems are fully maximized 
  • Design and placement of local advertising for events, specials and employment 
  • Responsible for production of short run print jobs 
  • Assist in coordinating video/photo projects for hotel/resort marketing materials 
  • Fulfill all internal requests for photo, collateral material, vouchers 
  • Develop and implement plan for photo archives 

 

  • Research, plan and document as necessary for the Marketing department 
  • Develop an awareness of the local market. Maintain consistent and timely communication with each DOSM. 
  • Ensure files, correspondence and other relevant business documentation is maintained. 
  • Co-ordinate and control the photo libraries 
  • Provide support as requested by the DOSM. Undertake additional duties outlined by DOSM and Hotel Management 
  • Be an early adopter and champion for innovation, especially in the area of online marketing and channel engagement. Develop and maintain synergies between each hotel and the corporate ecommerce team 
  • Respond to client and vendor queries within 24 hours of initial contact. 
  • Manage initial arrangements for all media and travel writer visits 
  • Ensure the Social Media and Public Relations strategy is in line with that of brand and is effectively targeting the demographics of the hotel guest. 
  • Branded website & audit compliance 
  • Align management style, working practices and conduct with Hotel, Corporate Values and policies. To comply with “Brand’s Code of Conduct” and company culture at all times. 
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills. 
  • Create exceptional experiential stories utilizing creative thinking and storytelling ability.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field, with 2 – 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must have strong computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite, desktop publishing, photo editing and page layout programs, Microsoft Office and graphic design skills are a must. 
  • Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be attentive to detail. 
  • Must be able to multitask 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation to work
  • Subject to working in an office with long periods of sitting with exposure to a VDT.
  • Equipment to be used includes, but not limited to: computer system, photocopier, telephone, fax, calculator, ski riding equipment.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Must have a neat, professional appearance and must arrive to work ready to begin at the start of the assigned shift. 
  • Must be punctual at the beginning of the day or shift. 
  • Must type 45 words or less per minute. 
  • Must exercise good time management and be organized in work area. 
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to function productively in a team environment.
