    Job Description

    Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) is the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, with 35 brands and over 500 luxury hotels across 76 countries.  DISCOVERY is the experiential loyalty program launched in 2010 and shared across all GHA Brands.  In just 8 years, we have won over 50 industry awards and have grown to 12 million members.



    This position is focused on building the content and strategy for Global Hotel Alliance’s marketing communication programs - highly focused on email marketing. The Manager of Marketing Communications will be responsible for building the content for email marketing campaigns and working with analytics to optimize campaign performance based on past learnings. This individual should have strong creative writing and design skills and be able to manage multiple projects at one time.


    This position will report to the Director of Marketing Communications and is based in the GHA Dallas Office, located within the corporate office of Omni Hotels & Resorts in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas.


    • Create content, layout, and copywriting for marketing campaigns, primarily email
    • Shift email program from calendar-focused to targeted & trigger-focused based on customer behaviors and insights
    • Optimize email communications through personalization, offers, creative, timing, and targeting
    • Work closely with analytics team to optimize campaign segmentation, incorporate learnings from previous campaigns
    • Be an integral part driving revenue in the email marketing channel, identify areas for growth
    • Recommend the best “post-click” customer experience: landing pages, integrating social components, and general website experience
    • Elevate the Global Hotel Alliance member experience by building out seamless customer journeys
    • Assist with building push notification messaging strategy
    • Participate in marketing team and agency strategy sessions
    • Support the director of marketing communications and other team members as needed to achieve program goals
    • Manage 1 direct report



    To fulfill this role successfully, the candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 5+ years of professional experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Problem solver and creative thinker who is intensely detail-oriented, results-focused and able to successfully execute multiple complex projects accurately and on time
    • Must be highly flexible and embrace constant change
    • Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as individually
    • Highly innovative with positive energy


    It would be advantageous for the candidate to demonstrate the following capabilities:

    • Education and/or experience specialized in marketing and communications
    • Travel, leisure or hospitality industry experience a plus
    • Knowledge of Oracle Responsys a plus
    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop preferred)
    • Basic knowledge of HTML and/or CSS
