  • Job Description

    The PMS Product Manager will serve as the first line of support for all Opera Property Management System related concerns including service desk tickets, reconfigurations, and installations. The PMS Product Manager will support properties during and following implementation and supply all properties with ongoing property management system support.  This position requires in-depth knowledge of Opera Property Management System, excellent organization and prioritization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as first line of Opera Property Management System support for all Omni properties including ownership of PMS related Service Desk tickets
    • Support properties through PMS upgrades and facilitate ongoing OPMS training and support
    • Facilitate OPMS reconfiguration requests
    • Take ownership of our internal guests’ PMS needs and personally follow through on any issues
    • Ensure that excellent customer service and communication is a hallmark of the Information Technology Department
    • Facilitate key communication between IT and other departments when emergencies arise maintain ability to be flexible to company needs during emergency situations
    • Encourage and maintain open and clear communication, rapport, and cooperation with all internal departments to foster best possible service to all guests

    Qualifications

    • Experience with Opera Property Management System configuration and installation
    • Working operational experience a plus
    • Knowledge of Opera Reservation System
    • Knowledge of the Oracle ticketing process and Omni Service Desk ticketing process
    • Understanding of hotel Accounting, Operations, and Revenue Management functions
    • Understanding of Omni’s key service components
    • Understanding of software that interfaces with Opera PMS
    • Ability to manage other people
    • Ability to lead a project with multiple elements
    • Ability to communicate well to large groups of people
    • Effective listening and verbal and written communication skills.
    • Outstanding problem solving, decision making, and time management skills
    • Ability to understand issues to bring correct resources together
    • Readiness to work independently on tasks. Informational collaboration with technical and operational staff will be recurrent
    • Aptitude to work a flexible schedule as needed to complete time-sensitive projects
    • Ability to establish and retain vendor relationships
    • Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
