    Job Description

    To lead and coordinate all global and property based sales activities. This individual will create and maintain a highly energized selling culture while developing and implementing appropriate strategic sales plans for Omni Hotels. The Vice President, Sales will have a leadership role in the company’s mandate to increase revenues through market penetration and enhanced revenue performance of properties operated by the company.  Success is determined through improvement in our revenue performance as compared to that of our defined competitors.

    Responsibilities

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Lead the development execution of overall direct sales plans.
    • Ensures that adequate plans for maximum revenue improvement are in place for all hotels and the global sales organization. Presents such plans for general review and approval by the SVP, Sales & Marketing and COO.
    • Works in conjunction with ASC team to plan for the development of associates and maintain programs that will encourage maximum success, retention and improved performance of top sellers and bench-building for future sales & marketing leaders.
    • Works with marketing department to develop appropriate sales support materials while understanding consumer trends of defined segments.
    • Ensures that Regional Directors of Marketing are focused on highest priority properties and that brand standards are observed at all hotels.
    • Monitor individual hotel revenue performance toward plan achievement. Recommend adjustments to plan should changes occur in the competitive landscape.
    • Analyze business trends, identify revenue opportunities and develop strategic plans with supporting tactics for revenue attainment.
    • Collect and analyze information on use history, plans, decision structure and strategies of key customers and competitors. Ensure that there is a repository of relevant industry, market, customer and competitive information.
    • Ensures proper goal setting practices and incentives are aligned with business objectives.
    • Creates alignment between global account and property resources.
    • Ensures that property and global sales teams can articulate the benefits of an Omni Hotel solution to close sales opportunities.
    • Work with ASC to create a platform of sales training forgroup, transient and catering sales associates.
    • Creates alignment between corporate, brand and property sales execution.
    • The ability to attract and retain high performing associates through effective selection, training, performance management, career development and compensation.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • College Degree (BS/BA). Marketing, Communications or Business Administration preferred.
    • Minimum of ten years managerial experience in a corporate or regional environment with direct reports
    • Hotel sales experience preferred.
    • Experience in the hospitality or travel industry.
