    Scheduled to open early 2018, the luxurious Omni property will be a full-service hotel and serve as a cornerstone of the mixed-use community adjacent to SunTrust Park, future home of the Atlanta Braves. The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta will feature 16 floors, approximately 264 guest rooms including 28 suites, over 12,000 square feet of meeting space, an elevated pool deck and bar overlooking the ballpark, and a signature restaurant.


    Located on the 60-acre mixed-use development site, at the northwest intersection of I-75 and I-285 at Cobb Parkway, the new community will redefine the traditional model of “live, work, play” into a “play, work, stay” destination. The community will also feature residences and premier office space, an entertainment venue, retail and a variety of dining options.”

    Job Description

    This position ensures that all hotel guest, associates and hotel property are maintained in a safe and secure environment. The candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the security department, including protection of hotel guests, associates and property. The candidate will be a highly skilled, extremely professional individual to provide leadership within the loss prevention department.  The candidate must be able to manage payroll, expenses and other financials within the department.  The candidate will provide leadership, coaching, training, and progressive discipline when necessary to all associates within the department.  The candidate will have responsibilities to include but are not limited to management of lost and found, property loss investigations, injury investigations, and detailed report writing. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing fire drills, maintaining the safety of the hotel, conducting monthly safety meetings, and preparing Hurricane evacuation plans.


    • Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.  
    • Answer house calls to assist both guests and associates with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.
    • Initiate and follow-up with all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.  
    • Assist sick/injured guests or associates ensuring all documentation, reporting and witness statements have been completed within a timely manner.
    • Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.
    • Maintain accurate records while performing basic duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook and employee/guest interactions.
    • Monitor/distribute visitor and vender access to the property by distributing visitor badges.
    • Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property.
    • Escort and interact with special guests that need privacy when entering/exiting the hotel through heart of the house areas.
    • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guest or associate issues.
    • Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm systems, safety and fire alarm systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas and grounds.
    • Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.


    • College degree preferred, but not required.
    • Must have 2+ years’ experience in Loss Prevention/Security Management role.
    • Experience in Loss Prevention in an upscale establishment preferred. 
    • Must have excellent written and verbal skills with great presentation skills. 
    • Previous experience in hospitality preferred.
    • Proven professionalism with guests and associates required.
    • Experience with and familiarity with OSHA standards required.
    • Previous experience with training and maintenance of safety standards.
    • Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 4 hours per shift.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, radio and reporting.  
    • Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel/resort at a rapid pace if necessary.
    • First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.
    • Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
