    Job Description

    To provide properties with ongoing hotel applications system support. This position requires strong attention to detail as well as excellent organization, prioritization, problem-solving and technical skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Support all Front Office applications, including but not limited to: PMS, including EMV Tokenization and mobility; Communication Applications; Task Management; and CRM
    • Create and maintain all supporting documentation as well as training materials
    • Conduct QA testing of applications
    • Support company-wide upgrades of current installations and deployment of new installations
    • Support properties through PMS upgrades and assist with ongoing QA, training and support
    • Facilitate communication between IT and other departments
    • Manage and assist with application projects as business demands
    • Ensure excellent customer service and communication is a hallmark of the IT department
    • Encourage and maintain open and clear communication, rapport and cooperation with all departments to foster a high standard of service to all internal and external guests

    Qualifications

    • Minimum four-year college degree – preferred in Business, MIS, IT or Computer Science
    • Experience with Hospitality Applications is preferred
    • Knowledge of Opera Reservation System, Opera Property Management, CRM and hospitality systems
    • Knowledge of the Oracle ticketing process a bonus
    • Understanding of hospitality Accounting, Operational and Revenue Management functions
    • Understanding of software that interfaces with hotel applications
    • Must have expert organizational and communication skills—ability to effectively communicate to large groups of people
    • Ability to manage other people
    • Ability to lead a complex project
    • Ability to operate within a 24/7/365 environment and provide rapid response in emergency situations
    • Outstanding problem solving, decision making and time management skills
    • Ability to listen effectively and understand issues to bring correct resources together
    • Readiness to work independently on tasks
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
    • Aptitude to work a flexible schedule as needed to complete time-sensitive projects
    • Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
