    Job Description

    Ensure proper training and supervision of all food & beverage staff, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management of all F&B operations
    • Supervise and coordinate assigned shift.
    • Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager's job description.
    • Check staff punctuality.
    • Complete environmental checklist for dining room. 
    • Spot check liquor pars. 
    • Order daily supplies. 
    • Hold pre-meal meetings.
    • Follow up on established training steps.
    • Handle guest comments and complaints.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Stay on the floor during peak hours. 
    • Communicate with guests and receive feedback. 
    • Observe, teach, and correct staff's service.
    • Monitor each guest experience. 
    • Examine food preparation. 
    • Examine beverage presentation.
    • Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus
    • Have full knowledge of responsible alcohol service
    • Proper setup and breakdown of area and service station
    • Provide the highest quality guest interactions - be pleasant, friendly and polite to everyone
    • Multi-task several guests and duties at once, maintaining the highest levels of service
    • Take food and beverage orders from guests
    • Enter in orders to the computer ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Manage walk-up and seated guests appropriately
    • Follow service standards and best practices at all times
    • Demonstrate excellent teamwork with internal associates
    • Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management
    • Demonstrate excellent teamwork with associates
    • Demonstrate full working knowledge of POS system
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Be pleasant, smile, and greet all guests, using guest names when obtained
    • Must have sense of urgency throughout entire shift
    • Assist manager with schedule, forecast, payroll, email, Kronos,  Medallia, MOS
    • Perform any other duties assigned by Management/Chef
    • Answers office phone greeting internal and external guest.
    • Check voicemails, e-mails and faxes and follow up accordingly.
    • Process mail for Food and Beverage Director.
    • Order and maintain office supplies.
    • Fax, copy, and distribute as needed.
    • Process Accounts Payable invoices for various vendors.
    • Coordinate and trackFood & Beverage associates for ServSafe Food Handler certification to ensure current certification at all times.
    • Coordinate and track Food & Beverage associates for TIPS Alcohol Service certification to ensure current certification at all times.
    • Proactive in gaining knowledge and skills in technological and educational advances for the continued development and advancement applicable to the company/department and staff. 

    Qualifications

     

    2 + years restaurant experience preferred

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Valid Food Handlers Certificate

    Valid TIPs Certification

    Must be over the age of 21 to be able to serve alcohol

    Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours a day

    Ability to multitask

    Preferred experience in Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, Excel

    Previous management experience preferred

    Must be able to lift 20 lbs

    English proficiency a must

    4 Diamond hotel experience preferred

    Prior history utilizing Micros preferred
