    Job Description

    The Catering Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Catering Sellers and Convention Services Managers in the daily operations of our events and meeting space to ensure overall client satisfaction.  This individual will report to the Director of Catering and Conference Services and handle all administrative duties as assigned by the Catering Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Phone coverage for Sales inquiry line and e-mail leads through Lead Catcher for Group, Express & Catering as well as assisting with Catering calls 
    • Coordinate with Culinary, Banquets, and CSM’s the editing templates and printing menu cards and buffet tags, tent cards, directional signage, vouchers for parking or restaurant, welcome letters, Information sheets and other collateral 
    • Daily & Weekly BEO Distribution; maintain and update the Change Logs
    • Daily Event Postings 
    • Responsible for booking and servicing all internal functions 
    • Responsible for servicing some smaller group turnovers and wedding room blocks as assigned by DOCCS 
    • Responsible for Royal Club Boardroom reservations and detailing of these events 
    • Provide general administrative support to Catering Managers by assisting with File Turnovers, Proposals and Contracts, Tracking of Deposits, creating guestroom blocks and compiling sales kits 
    • Responsible for Special projects as assigned by DOCCS and Catering Managers 
    • Ensuring all Filing systems are maintained according to SOP 
    • Maintain inventory of office supplies

    Qualifications

    • College diploma in Hospitality program preferred
    • Able to work well with others
    • Able to take initiative
    • Pays precise attention to detail, order, and cleanliness
    • Must have effective communication skills (verbal, listening, & writing)
    • Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
    • Previous hotel catering experience and knowledge of Delphi FDC and Opera systems preferred
