    Job Description

    The Omni Mandalay is currently looking for a highly motivated, determined, and experienced Group Sales Manager to develop the 51+ on Peak for the Corporate Market (Texas/National/International).

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue goals.
    • Solicit accounts within assigned market segment. Increase market share from existing accounts.
    • Prospect and develop new accounts; is familiar with utilizing tools and resources to identify potential sources of business from competitors.
    • Maintains aggressive weekly telephone, site inspection and outside sales call goals. Focused on a Proactive Solicitation approach
    • Follows up promptly on leads generated by the Global Sales offices, Irving and Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cvent, Starcite
    • Active involvement in industry association and trade shows.
    • Participate in development of quarterly local sales blitz, presentations and companywide promotions.
    • Is current with all market-related publications in order to stay on top of all industry trends and uncover any potential leads.
    • Achieve targeted referral (FLIP) goals for all Omni Hotels.
    • Is fully aware of corporate sponsored promotions.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of quarterly Sales Action Plans
    • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports on a timely basis.
    • Maintain all FDC and hard files.  FDC should be 95% or better compliance with corporate sales automation audit.
    • Participate in the ongoing forecasting process.
    • Is current and abides by all sales office procedures and systems.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business, communications, or hotel management preferred 
    • Two years or more related experience in sales work at a full service, conference hotel. 
    • Must have experience in "cold call" solicitation, contract closing, site inspections/visits with clients, setting up fam trips and contract negotiations.
    • Current with all pertinent computer software programs, Delphi proficient.
