    Job Description

    The Spa Director will be responsible for the overall operational function and management of the Spa and will demonstrate leadership throughout the Spa and Hotel to maximize guest and team satisfaction. The Spa Director is responsible for all Spa policies and procedures, and has direct supervision over the department supervisors, desk attendants, support staff, and service providers.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the Spa team, including responsibility, either directly of indirectly, for: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, continued training, MOS Audits (in line with Omni Standards), performance evaluations, mentoring, developing, and progressive discipline
    • Develops relationships with all guests and vendors, providing personal attention and encouraging personalized experiences
    • Generates and implements creative new approaches to providing quality guest experience and services, owning responsibility for the guest satisfaction scores in the Spa.
    • To actively create and promote special promotions and events, additionally assisting in promoting and marketing spa facilities and offerings to Resort guests
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Creates, maintains and oversees a marketable and profitable Spa while meeting/exceeding financial goals
    • Actively creates and promotes local day guest business through gift cards, special occasion celebrations and holiday celebrations
    • Develops a highly motivated team able to create the most effective organization, service and product for the Spa and congruent with other areas of the Hotel.
    • Leads by example through performance level, the focus on quality, the cheerleading for the goals and vision of the Omni Homestead Spa.
    • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from guests, associates, regulatory agencies or members of the business community, including individual with diverse cultural background
    • Establish / follow and implement operating policies, concepts and procedures for the Spa.
    • Prepare the budget and forecast for each area of responsibility on a monthly period and annual basis, Implements and monitors the departmental budget, and manages expenses
    • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing plans and working with management staff in achieving operational goals.
    • Ensures all equipment and supplies in the Spa are stocked and in working condition.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
    • Previous experience working as a Spa Manager, or Spa Director in a high-volume, high-end multi-faceted spa facility (resort experience preferred)
    • Previous management experience of a team of at least 35, including development, performance evaluation, interviewing, hiring, etc.
    • Ability to be a proactive communicator, an initiator and a highly organized individual, including the ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) with all guests, associates, co-workers and leadership team.
    • CPR and First Aid certification (strongly preferred)
