    Job Description

    The role of the Travel Industry Sales Manager is to achieve monthly room night goals, develop and implement sales action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.


    • Fully develop Corporate Transient (Corporate business travel & Consortia) and Wholesale FIT market segments. 
    • Achieve room night and revenue goals for all segments.
    • Maintain weekly telephone and outside solicitation, travel agency presentations.
    • Track all corporate business travel accounts including Consortia and Wholesale FIT accounts.
    • Develop new accounts and maintain growth of existing accounts.
    • Is current and abides by all sales office procedures and systems.
    • Networks and Entertains customers on a weekly basis.
    • Participates in weekly RevMerch meetings, bi-weekly sales meetings, bi-weekly one-on-ones, and monthly forecast meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.


    • The Sales Manager will have at least two years experience in either Business Corporate Travel or Leisure Travel Sales in a four or five star property.
    • The candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding production goals, the ability to develop solid sales plans with measurable results and proactively explore networking opportunities.
    • He or she should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a polished and professional demeanor and the ability to capitalize on strong/creative selling techniques. 
    • The ideal candidate will be solution oriented, able to work independently, and have experience with TravelClick’s Agency 360 platform.
    • Frequent travel is a requirement of this position.
